Judd, Flavin, Chamberlain, and Irwin installation collage

Expanded hours at the Chinati Foundation

Following the inauguration of Robert Irwin’s permanent installation, the Chinati Foundation is excited to announce an expanded tour programme.

Both full collection and selections tours now include the Irwin artwork, and tour schedules have been updated accordingly.

The full collection tour includes a guided viewing of the entire Chinati collection as well as our annual special exhibition. Full collection tour times are now 10:00 am – 4:30 pm or 10:30 am – 5 pm, with a 1 1/2 – 2 hour break for lunch.

The selections tour includes a guided viewing of the works by Donald Judd, John Chamberlain, Robert Irwin and Dan Flavin.  Selection tours are now either 11:00 am – 1:30 pm or 11:30 am – 2:00 pm.

Additionally, two of Chinati’s permanent exhibitions are open for self-guided viewing.   Judd’s 100 works in mill aluminum may now be viewed each day from noon to 3:00 PM.  Visitors may also walk the kilometer long, outdoor path and view Donald Judd’s untitled 15 works in concrete, free of charge during museum hours.   Reservations are not necessary for self-guided viewing.
