General Museum Internship Program participants are given the unique opportunity of living and working with Chinati's permanent collection, while being exposed to the daily operations and work of the museum. Throughout their stay, interns are provided with resources and training to further their knowledge of the museum's mission, philosophy, programs, permanent collection and special exhibitions. Additionally, interns are introduced to each museum department through orientation meetings and related projects. General interns work primarily with Education, Visitor Services, and Administrative staff. Responsibilities include assisting with collection tours and education programs, working on special events, security, and general office administration. Other projects are assigned in accordance with an individual intern's skills and the needs and schedule of the museum. The next available positions in the general internship program will begin in June, 2012. Please click here for an application form. Application deadline post marked February 15, 2012.
